Moxa will let you put the modems anywhere in your network using a TTY driver.
Let me know if you need further informations. I can provide a tutorial on this.
I've another successfull installation with a moxa nport 5210 (two ports) and CentOS 5

d4rkstar: I would like to update HCL list with new hardware.
I successfully installed SMS Server Tools 3 and use with MOXA nPort 5410 4 serial ports to ethernet + 2 falcom tango + 2 falcom twist.
