Mmm, not sure what to answer here...I'm pretty sure I have SIM working on ttyUSB2 currently..
Maybe something wrong with the udevadm command?
Thanks

Hi,
When I plug the modem and do a dmesg, I don't see it attached to a ttyUSB port. Is this a normal behavior?
FYI I don't have this problem when using cygwin with this modem.

gabolema: Hi,
I've tried doing this: http://smstools3.kekekasvi.com/topic.php?id=501
I've added the following rule
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="12d1", ATTRS{idProduct}=="1001", ATTRS{manufacturer}=="HUAWEI Technology", SYMLINK+="modem_usb"
However I'm getting an error message:
2012-10-26 13:36:29,3, GSM1: write_to_modem: error 22: Invalid argument
2012-10-26 13:36:40,7, GSM1: -> AT
2012-10-26 13:36:40,3, GSM1: write_to_modem: error 22: Invalid argument
2012-10-26 13:36:50,7, GSM1: -> .
2012-10-26 13:36:50,3, GSM1: write_to_modem: error 22: Invalid argument
The device works perfectly when using
device = /dev/ttyUSB2
instead of
device = /dev/modem_usb
Thank you for your help,
Gabriel
