Hi,
I could get smstools working with another modem (Huawei E1750, HSDPA). But now I'm trying a SIM800L module (with a different SIM card) through a serial/USB adapter.
I stop smsd and can send SMS with miniterm.py. But then I start smsd and create an SMS file in outgoing, but I get:
2015-10-20 19:36:50,3, GSM1: Modem is not ready to answer commands (Timeouts: 0)
and in failed:
Fail_reason: Modem initialization failed
loglevel is at the default level 7:
#loglevel = 7
Is there an obvious reason why smsd cannot initialize this modem?
