jonnysupersonic: Hi All I have smstools running well with 4 USB modems. Each modem is a different make/model. I now want to add more modems with the same make model. I use this post to make sure i always have the same device name after reboot. http://smstools3.kekekasvi.com/topic.php?id=482 In this method I specify the modem device by its unique variables (sudo udevadm info --query) but when you have multiple modems with identical variables how can you tell them apart?
jonnysupersonic: Ubuntu 12.04: 3.1.14: Smsd installed from: sources Huawei E172: Interface: USB Hi I am using special SIMs that can only send 50 SMS per day. I have 4 modems. How do I make sure that each one only sends a max of 50 messages? I intend on running the command "sendsms 491721234567 'Hello, how are you'" 200 times. That way I expect 50 messages on each of the 4 modems. How do I make sure that this is 50 messages per modem exactly?
