paid: hi, thank you for your reply. I found the problem: the power adapter of the USB hub was dead...
paid: Operating system name and version: Ubuntu Version of smsd: 3.1.14 Smsd installed from: sources Name and model of a modem / phone: Huawei E220 Interface: USB Hi, I'm trying to run two modems (Huawei E220) simultaneously but it doesn't work. When I plug in the modems either the first or the second one gets the error "Modem is not ready to answer commands". If I disconnect this modem and reconnect it, the other modem will get the error "Modem is not ready to answer commands" and the first modem will work. The same thing happens if I restart smstools and/or Linux. According to dmesg the modems are attached to different port (e.g. ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB2). Thanks for your help.
