Pierre_lg: Well, You can close this topic... I've found the solution !!! My last configuration was good... and it worked after unplugging and replugging the USB modem !!! Best regards,

Pierre_lg: Some complement of information... I've tried also with the following parameters in the smsd.conf: # Example smsd.conf. Read the manual for a description devices = GSM1 logfile = /var/log/smsd.log loglevel = 7 [GSM1] device = /dev/ttyUSB0 incoming = no init = AT^CURC=0 init2 = AT+CSCS="GSM" memory_start = 0 baudrate = 19200 pin = XXXX smsc = 32475161616 But still the same result... One question, I've seen different threads concerning the international numbers or short numbers. All example that I saw was for germans number or uk numbers with 12 digits. Here in Belgium, the number has only 11 digits (see smsc number). Can it be the problem ? Thanks one more time for your support...
Pierre_lg: Sorry, I forgot to mention the version of SMSD: 3.0.10-4.el5.i386 I have also tried to add the SMSC parameter in the smsd.conf but still the same issue. Thanks again for your help.
