Hi

I'm using a kind of a load shared and redundant setup for my SMS gateways. Smstools is running on two Raspberry Pies (Raspbian) with one modem attached to each of them. On a third server I've created a NFS share, which is used as a centralized spooler by both Raspberries. It works pretty good, but in some cases I receive a few SM twice. I suppose this is because they were read from the spooler at exactly the same time.

Are there any mechanisms or functions to set the intervall smsd is checking/reading from the spooler? Or is there even a better setup to achieve my requirements (high availability and load balancing) on two "independent" gateways? Multiple modems on a server isn't an option for me, because they have to be placed at different locations.

Thank you!

Hi,

why did you not create two NFS share, one per raspbian OR two directory one per raspbian and you configure disctint directory in raspbian :

Raspbian 1
Directory : /nas/sms1

Raspbian 2
Directory : /nas/sms2

You manage load balancing through third server or front-end server...
