Hi -

I'm looking to buy a GSM modem to use with smstools that will allow me to:
1) send/receive SMS messages
2) know when someone calls a phone number, basically have support for MC memory

I have a Huawei E153 device which works great for text messages but doesn't have support for keeping track of missed calls because it lacks the MC memory.

Which device should I buy that supports both 1) and 2) ?

At least devices based on Wavecom or Telit modules are working. I do not have complete list about devices available.

Manual of Q2303 is missing, but as far as I remember, that module has "MC" memory. And assuming that this device provides virtual COM port for each module, everything should work fine.
