I can not find a explanation about init and init2
In how to configure there is nearly nothing about that.
"most users do not need this" at init2 is not really helpful ....

What is the difference between init and init2?
Why should I use init2?
Is there a limit of characters in each init string?
Will init2 command only run, if init is OK?

Most items for HUAWEI modems refer to

Regardless of the effect of that command. Why not simply concat this to "init"?

Hope that someone can clarify this.

In some cases, it is not possible to give all the necessary commands to the modem at once, or it is clearer to give them separately. Because of this, two settings are available, one or both of which can be used.

In addition, there is a "wakeup_init" setting that may be needed with some modems, especially when using telnet. It is sent to the modem at the very beginning. There is a small wait after sending, but the return value is not checked. Most users won't need this.

If init or init2 fails (return value is not OK), the whole operation is aborted.

The maximum length of init strings is 98 characters, or 97 characters when using telnet.

@keke
Thank you for this information.

Maybe it would be helpful to add this infos to "How to configure". Just to prevent stupid questions, like mine ...
