Hi. I'm quite unsure where to begin. I am trying to fool around with a linux computer getting it so send SMSes. I connected the phone using a USB cable and got the following in the syslog. Will this phone work at all?

Thanks,

I'm sorry, but I can not help you with these devices because I have no experience with them.

Both are smart phones, W960i Windows Mobile-based and W960i Symbian UIQ-based. In most cases, smart phones are problematic, for example, they do not show incoming messages thru the external interface (using AT command set).

RNDIS is a network interface and smstools needs a serial port. Perhaps this can be produced with some additional software, but I do not know about it.

Maybe you can find or ask for information from here: http://developer.sonyericsson.com/community/.
