Select wich modem use to send a SMS

I have 2 modem of same type and model avalaible, but actually I use only one with a WIND IT sim. I have encountered a big issue the 99% of sms sent to +31 was missed and never received.
So I decided to use the 2nd mode with a sim by an other operator.

My wish is to continue to receive all incoming sms by modem #1/WIND and if the sms is originated from a +31 subscriber a sent the reply by modem #2/ not WIND.

Can I do it with smstools3, at the moment I don't remember the version but it's running full steam from April 2009 with zero problem.

Provider Sorting will do the job.

In the smsd.conf, define queues:

[queues]
OTHER = /var/spool/sms/OTHER
WIND_IT = /var/spool/sms/WIND_IT

[providers]
OTHER = 31
WIND_IT = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,s

# Modems:

[MODEM2]
device = /dev/modem2
queues = OTHER

[MODEM1]
device = /dev/modem1
queues = WIND_IT


With those settings messages to Netherlands are sent by the modem 2 and all other messages are sent by the modem 1.

When queues are defined, it is also possible to select queue in the message file. For example the header Queue: OTHER will select modem 2 and this overrides automatic sorting.

Hello there.I am new at smstools.I want to know if i am using only one modem if i should configure it like you have shown in this post.

2) i have followed the tuto on the sourceforge site http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47641 the sms are pending in the queue so i would like to know if someone can help me to get it work :( .

With single modem you do not need to define queues.
