I am new to linux and smstools
Every time i reboot my system i need to manually make /var/run/smsd folder and change the owner and group to smstools.

I start the service smsd as root

If i dont do this smstools doesnt start

How can I get it to work automatically at every startup

I do not have Fedora installed, so I cannot check what is going on. With a quick googling it seems that Fedora has some procedure for creating /var/run/smsd folder. In many platforms the init.d script does it.

Because I cannot install Fedora right now, you likely will get better support from some Fedora related forum.
