Smsd installed from: source
Name and model of a modem / phone: AG-2303R-4P 8 port GSM Modem
Interface: Standard RS232 Interface(Standard serial Port (DB-9)

Will 8 port GSM modem work with sms server tools...im planning to use this modem to send sms from multiple sim cards...
Let me know if it works then i will be buying it.... :D

I do not know enough about this device, so I cannot say anything for sure. If it provides separate /dev/ttyS* port for each modem, it likely will work. In the market, there are some multisim devices which use single interface with "channeling", and those kind of devices does not work.

okie...if i use multiple single sim modems(like say 20 modems connected thru usb hub) which provide /dev/ttyS* port...
will there be any scalability issue?? :roll:

There are systems which are running more than 30 USB modems in single server, without any scalability issues.

When USB modems are used, udev is useful to keep the names of the ports the same.
