Hello all.
I have problem to compile on solaris9. When I run
make -f <smstool folder>Makefile
I get:
make: Fatal error in reader: Makefile, line 32: Unexpected end of line seen Current working directory /usr/netcool/software/smstool/1/smstools3/src *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `compile'
Since I am not very experienced with compiling things on solaris, could somebody please help ?
Thanks, Regards, Novica.

I do not have Solaris 9 currently available, but have Solaris 10 running on Intel hardware. In the smstools3/src/Makefile there are two lines which should be uncommented when compiling on Solaris, have you noticed and uncommented them? Also, Makefiles are compatible with GNU make, generally taken other versions do not work. I Just checked and 3.1.5 compiled without problems. On my system make -v says: gcc -v said: You could check your make version, and install GNU make if not already installed.
