Hi folks.

I'm looking for a way the power-down my MC35 and TC35i Terminals gracefully when I shutdown the Server-PC or smsd.

I know the is a AT command (AT^SMSO Power down GSM engine).

Maybe a counterpart of pre-init?

Check this setting: stop = modem command.

But it looks like there are many moments that will trigger a stop = modem command.

I only want a shutdown command if smsd or when my Server-PC shutdown.

The "stop modem command" will turn the modem into a flipper-machine, to my understanding

How it looks like that? In what version of smsd?

Command is sent when process is stopping, and when process goes to "suspend" state. If suspend feature is used, usually start string should be defined too. But with AT^SMSO suspend cannot be used, because the modem is powered down.

For me, It looks like there are more moments that a modem process stops, like after a sms is send?!? so the "stop = modem command" is executed menny times in the current smsd session.

By the way  flipper-machine  is a "Pinball-machine"

But if the stop command is only triggered when smsd stops, it will be use full for me :? .

I'm not interested  suspend  mode only power-down or shutdown.

My sms-system is not running 24/7, it is just a hobby.

You have then modified the source code, right? ;)

Yes, of course, those both terms are well known here in Finland too, and we actually talk about "flipperi" when meaning "pinball". But who cares, as nowadays everyone plays Angry Birds, or OnLine Texas Hold'em only...

Yes, so it should be. :o

Of course. I was just telling when stop string is used. And in your case you cannot even use the suspend feature.
