Freebsd 7.1
Smstools 3.1.5
Installed from port /comms/smstools3

Here is the error I get after issuing sendsms command:
Cannot handle /var/spool/sms/outgoing/send_WJReV3: Access denied. Check the file and directory permissions.

Directory permissions are 755

But file send_WJReV3 has 600, and owner is root:wheel

Why the file is created with wrong permissions?

The bug is listed here:

In the script sendsms there is smsd_user="smsd" setting. Change this to smsd_user="uucp". After this change ownership of message file is changed and other actions should not be required.
