Smsd installed from: package repository
Name and model of a modem / phone: Falcom Tango 55
Interface: serial / USB / some adapter... COM
The Windows service smsd does not start
I get an empty logfile
And only in the event log: smsd service sopped exit status: 128
the modem is working and can send sms with another tool
My smd.conf is

logfile = smsd.log
loglevel = 6
