I am finishing up an application to send out appointment reminders and have developed it to send out via OpenVox hardware. Over the years I have tried many, many pieces of hardware using everything from Raspberry Pi adapters, PCIe Sangomma cards, to PCIe OpenVox and am currently running with the rackable 44 sim OpenVox (http://www.openvox.cn/products/voip-gateways/178/64/3g-gateway/vs-gw-2120-series-detail.html).

Trouble is that every once in a while the system goes down, for no good reason. Add in that it doesn't support long SMS, or MMS and it leaves me looking again for a new solution. I have seen this software recommended several times, but wanted a current enterprise hardware solution, not something 10 years old, or a new smartphone, but either a box like OpenVox, or a PCIe card.

Looking at this page: http://smstools3.kekekasvi.com/topic.php?id=147 I see a lot of success stories, but not a lot of enterprise level usage. Is this stable enough? Is there compatible hardware? I have a whole array of server hardware and operating systems to select from. I use Asterisk and a SIP provider for phone calls, but prefer not to use a service like Twillio but rather use my own hardware.

Operating system name and version: CentOS 6, CentOS 7, Ubuntu 16.04
Version of smsd: TBD
Smsd installed from: Will do source
Name and model of a modem / phone: ???
Interface: serial / USB / some adapter... PCIe?
