CentOS 5.3:
Version of smsd - not yet implemented:

Hello to all.

I've smstools version 2 installed on different servers. I would upgrade to this version and have a simply question.

Is there a way to SEND a CALL that play a WAV (voice) file instead of sending an sms?

If not, is it on a roadmap ? :)

Thank's

Simon

There is a feature Voicecall, see details on this page.

Voicecall will send DTMF tones, not a WAV file because there is no interface for audio files.

Voicecall can be used to send an audible alarm, or just to make a call which will not be answered. When you see that your server is calling, you can know that there is some issue and because a call is not answered, there is no cost for it.

Interface for audio files is not on the roadmap, because a soundcard will be needed, software interface for it, hardware interface from soundcards output to the microphone input of a modem, etc...
