Hello

I have Problems to send SMS in PDU Mode with the Motorola G24 OEM Module GSM Modem.

I can send SMS via terminal in text mode very well, but it does not work with PDU mode and SMSTOOLS. The GSM coverage is fine and the modem is registered in the network.
Error is +CMS ERROR: 513 all the time.

See Log:

modem section smsd.conf

Thanks Gregor

Have you sent any messages successfully?

Please show one or couple of complete and unmodified PDU's of failed messages. Use Private tag to protect them. It's also important to see what AT+CMGS value was used with each PDU.

I will check this more tomorrow.

Hello

I just tried to use the international number format +49xxxx and it worked fine. Without the +49 I get the error.

Thanks biofied

Okay.

This selection of number format is a very common issue and therefore version 3.1.5 and later has some more settings to make numbers more portable. The format of a number may be indicated, and there are also settings international_prefixes and national_prefixes to perform an automatic selection of a format. These settings are useful in the systems where users may use both formats and it cannot be trusted that international format is always used.

However, it's still recommended that international format is always used. This is because status reports will use that format and it's easier to handle messages when the format is the same.

Please view this for more details.
