Hello!

I've a server that sends sms via GSM modem (serial connected). Until here all ok. Now I need another server sends sms trought the first server. Is there a way to use master server as sms gateway to send sms from remote server? They are connected via LAN from different locations.

Thank's

It depends on what you have available in the master server.

If you have a web server with PHP, check this post. It contains a sample script which can be called from the remote server.

If you can access /var/spool/sms/outgoing (of a master server) from the remote server, you can create outgoing SMS files directly into this folder. First create a file named like <something_random>.LOCK, write and close the file, and remove .LOCK from it's name using rename. Locking is important when a file is not yet complete.

You can also scp a file to the master server, but in this case do not scp it into the outgoing folder. Use some another folder and a script (by cron), which will check your own spooler and move files to the outgoing folder.
