Hello, sorry if this question has been answered before but I can't find any posts related to it.

I have a b-mobile 3G modem from Japan (prepaid account). However, to use it I have to use pppd to enter the ISP's APN, username, password and other settings. Connecting to the Internet works under Linux, but when I try to use it with sms3 it doesn't work.

When I run sms3 before running pon, i get the following:

and when I run sms3 after pon, I get:

How do I work around this? Is there a way to configure sms3 to use pppd settings or to enter ISP information manually?

When pon is using the modem, smsd cannot use it at the same time.

Smsd does not connect to ISP and therefore does not require any pppd information.

It seems that your modem tries to register to the wrong network. Signal strength is very poor, and registration is denied. Perhaps you should check and set the band selection.
