Some user in the past, very many years ago, has reported that this device works. However, it is not known if all possible features work or not. Because of this, I have also mentioned that "the list is incomplete and very old, mostly from the version 1.x times and it's not actively updated."

I cannot say anything for sure, all phones should be tested before buying lot of them...

It may be good choice, but in any case a real modem is always the best choice. Devices based on the chip from Wavecom are known as very well working, but I do not recommend any exact model.

Text mode is not supported by SMSTools3. This is because of limitations of text mode, and even when text mode is used, some messages still are presented with PDU mode.
