Hi

Installed the sms server and got it to work and finaly with status report, BUT... it seems to drop some sms:s.
I'll log everything into mysql and the result looks like this after sent 40 SMS in par of 20 to itself.
It miss some of my sms:es from my cellphone as well, thats how i notice the problem.

Total sent messages and confirmed delivered :34
Total sent messages :40

Is it normal with this much dropout?
I use the multisms handler to create the files and as seen it reports that 40 sms had been sent in the DB with timestamp and all .
Where should i look for errors?

I do not know that Moxa 2110. Can you use the modem setting report_device_details = yes, restart the smsd and show those details from the log here?

Did you mean that both outgoing and incoming messages are dropped? In some cases sending may fail, but there must be an error message in the log and the reason explained in the failed message file. In very few cases the modem may drop incoming messages, and this is cause by the bad firmware. I know only one modem which may drop incoming messages, and from the log it can be seen that GSM network tried to deliver message, but the modem dropped from the network.

Are you running smsd with loglevel = 7? Or even better, with loglevel = notice and smart_logging = yes? If you are using smart_logging, you should have a file /var/log/smsd_trouble.log which contains error messages and detailed information about the communication when the error occurred. If you have this trouble_log, or if you can reproduce it by sending some 40 messages again, it could be useful to see. If you can show it, you can use Private tag to protect the information.
