Operating system name and version: Ubuntu 11.04 Version of smsd: smstools3-3.1.14 Smsd installed from: sources Name and model of a modem / phone: LG KG200 Interface: USB
Hi everyone !! I have well installed playsms and smstools3. I can cannect my phone and the list of incoming sms is charged on playsms interface. I can send messages too. My problem that the folder /var/spool/sms/incoming is always empty and the other folders /var/spool/sms/outgoing ... are empty too !!! The list that is posted up on the web interface of playsms contain the list of incoming sms of my phone. This list is not existing in the spool folder.
For log files, I have found smsd.log but I haven't found playsms.log and sms.log. The folder /var/log/sms is empty too.
What shall I do ?? How can I resolve the spool problem because I want to read incoming messages via console. If someone can give me again the way to install smstools3 on ubuntu step by step, i'll be gratefull.
I wish I find help thank you
Best Regards

It seems that your installation is done properly. However, playSMS wants to delete incoming messages, and it is very problematic when playSMS is used together with other applications. I have created a patch for playSMS because of this, but it is not yet released.
