Hei Guy have an Ubuntu 10.04 with SMSTOOLS Server. I plugged in my Surfstick (ZTE MFE 100) and changed to "Modem" mode like its described here what works fine ... After that i tried to send an sms (sendsms) . I setted up the Modem Device /dev/sg2 cause my hwinfo say that Should work but my SMS Server says no : and hangs up (had to kill SMS Deamon). Then i tryed to define an UDEV Rule for an static device name : But that doesnt work to. Can anybody help me ???

The modem device setting is obviously wrong. What you mention is the flash part of the modem that usually contains driver software. Try locating the serial port again.
