Hei Guy have an Ubuntu 10.04 with SMSTOOLS Server.
I plugged in my Surfstick (ZTE MFE 100) and changed to "Modem" mode like its described here what works fine ...
After that i tried to send an sms (sendsms) .
I setted up the Modem Device /dev/sg2
cause my hwinfo say that :P

Should work but my SMS Server says no :

and hangs up (had to kill SMS Deamon).
Then i tryed to define an UDEV Rule for an static device name :

But that doesnt work to.
Can anybody help me :( ???

The modem device setting is obviously wrong.
What you mention is the flash part of the modem that usually contains driver software.
Try locating the serial port again.
