Sorry, I forgot to mention the version of SMSD: 3.0.10-4.el5.i386
I have also tried to add the SMSC parameter in the smsd.conf but still the same issue.
Thanks again for your help.

Some complement of information... I've tried also with the following parameters in the smsd.conf: But still the same result... One question, I've seen different threads concerning the international numbers or short numbers. All example that I saw was for germans number or uk numbers with 12 digits. Here in Belgium, the number has only 11 digits (see smsc number). Can it be the problem ? Thanks one more time for your support...

[GSM1] device = /dev/ttyUSB0 incoming = no #init = AT+CPMS="ME","ME","ME" init = AT^CURC=0 #init = AT+CSCS="GSM" memory_start = 0 baudrate = 19200 pin = 1234 smsc = 32475161616 'smsdconf' Syntax Highlight powered by GeSHi Note: I've tried the different init parameter (in comment) one by one... but still the sqme error!
