Operating system name and version: Mac OS X 10.8.x
Version of smsd: 3.1.15
Smsd installed from: sources
Name and model of a modem / phone: Not Applicable
Interface: Not applicable

I am getting the following error after executing 'make' in the src directory:
smsd.c:700:5: warning: illegal character encoding in character literal [-Winvalid-source-encoding]
'<A4>',
^

Have I missed something in the instructions or is this a bug related to Mac OS X 10.8.x?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
John Natschev.

It's a bad coding in smsd.c. The character is € in ISO character set, and your compiler gives a warning. The program should still work properly.

To get rid of this warning, edit the smsd.c and replace that line 700:
    0xE4, 0xF6, 0xF1, 0xFC, 0xE0,
0xA4,
0x00
