As long as the device is the same, it should work. Remember to use the settings shown in this post, and smsd 3.1.8.

You have received your modem now, right? I do not know about "good" howto's...  The installation depends on your Operating System. If you are running Unix style OS, there is a short howto on How to compile/install. Basic installation will install a sample smsd.conf to the /etc/ directory. Modify that as shown in the post I mentioned, and BenQ will work. If you have any troubles or questions while installing, you could open a new topic and describe at least what OS you are running.

Thank you. No, I do not received the modem yet (I am waiting), but I have an old mobile phone (SonyEricsson T300) and I want to try him as a sms device. My OS is Ubuntu Lucid.

I have big problem with BenQ M32 gprs connection.
I don't know very well how to use AT-commands if I wand connect to Internet. (Yes, I have read BenQ AT manual)
Problem is similar like

It depends on drivers for networking, and I'm not experienced with them. Notice that this modem is GPRS, not 3G, meaning that network connection anyway is slow. Some Huawei devices can provide 3G connection at the same time when other interface can be used for SMS messaging.
