Hello, I'm having the following issue with the Siemens MC35i:

I've added "init", "init2" and memory_mode (31) only today. Until some weeks ago the device was ok. It's possible something on system is changed. Is there a way to troubleshoot manually the modem or maybe something wrong?

Serial port can be opened, but the modem does not answer. Check the serial cable, and that it is connected to the correct connector in the server.

Hi.
We use a multimodem mtcba over ethernet with Device Option @192.168.2.1:5000
The Same Error.

When we use interceptty As Device /dev/Serial-Server all is ok.
Do we Need some extra AT commands?

I'll check it better. I suppose there is a conflict problem with activation of embedded management interface to redirect console over lan, but have to investigate better.

i can not remove the sim out of our old modem becouse the new modem did not funktion.
I have to set something there?

OK all is working verry well now.

The Problem was that ppp was enabled in the webconfiguration of the multimodem.
Disable ppp under the ppp General Settings and all is working. (dont forget to save&restart the Modem)
